About Us
The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition was originally created on April 12, 2016 as a grassroots, volunteer-based organization following an impassioned community forum at the Rockland City Council Chambers on February 4th dealing with the lack of local action in response to the worsening opiate addiction crisis.
Our Mission is to reduce the rate and consequences of drug addiction in Midcoast Maine.  MCRC workgroups were developed to address addiction prevention/education, access to treatment, recovery support services, helping families and community and criminal justice issues.  MCRC is the only organization in Knox County addressing all aspects of drug addiction in our community.
